IFA Community

Our community starts with our associates. They do a great job and care so much about the quality of the IFA product that they produce. The photos on this page are of IFA celebrating the expansion of our offices and the company dinner on the eve of the Fancy Food Show this past June. She is raising four children. Nancy is our accounts receivable bull dog! This summer we were graced with the presence of her daughter, Erin who worked as an intern. She returned to college to finish her final year. We have a secret weapon, Linda Schnarwiler, we never see her! She works from home and sorts out and analyzes our promotional programs. We didn’t have to look very far for Linda as she conveniently lives next door to Jackie Peckham.

We work in a casual environment with an emphasis on “mom friendly” needs. When our children are sick they get taken care of by their parents and great IFA benefits. We’ll use this page to update you on their achievements.

You might think that a young growing company would be totally focused on themselves, at IFA we were. However, Jake Silverman changed our perspective.

Visit the Jakes Ride websiteJake is the twelve year old son of Jeff and Nancy Silverman, long time friends of Jackie Peckham, our VP of Operations.  Last April Jake was diagnosed with Childhood Onset Dystonia, a debilitating neurological movement disorder affecting over 500,000 people in this country, one third of them children. Everyday activities, such as riding a bike, playing sports, walking his dog, or simply attending school, are memories of Jake’s past. There is no know cure for Dystonia and treatment rarely brings remission.

When Jackie told us about how brave Jake was, and how he inspired her and all around him; we made an easy decision to have Jake and his family to become part of the IFA family.

We now have an official IFA charity: Jake’s Ride for Dystonia Research. The first fundraising event was a bike outing held in October 5, 2008. The event was huge success as it easily surpassed its goal and raised $265,000. The IFA team was there to support Jake and we all had a great time. We are already looking to play a larger role in next year’s event,

Check out Jake’s website www.jakesride.org and see if you can join us to help find a cure for Jake and thousands of others.
